Our Rental agreement:
Dear Serenity Cove Guests,
Thanks for choosing Serenity Cove! At Serenity Cove we make every effort to make sure your rental unit is as clean, comfortable and organized as possible upon your arrival. It is something we take great pride in. We have never collected a security deposit nor charged a cleaning fee. The deposit you have sent simply reserves your rental unit and is deducted from the balance due upon your arrival. However, in light of recent events, legal and insurance changes, as well as credit card company policy changes, we ask that you read and agree to the below. We will have copies in our office when you check in, so as long as the paying party will be present at check in you need not bring nor return this copy.
The paying party will be responsible for any damages, breakage, lost inventory or extra cleaning charges (including kitchen dishes etc.). This applies to pontoon rentals if applicable. It also applies to the hot tub or other outside and landscape objects. If you are renting multiple units, you are responsible for returning all inventory to its proper unit upon check out. Late check outs will be charged.
As has always been our policy, we offer smoke free units. Smoking is permitted on the porches. Please use the ash trays provided. We are unable to accept pets. Our county health department requires that the cabins are limited to 4 or 6 people maximum depending on the unit rented. The house is limited to 8 people maximum. Vehicles including watercraft must be parked in that units designated parking spots. County law requires no parking in or blocking of the driveway. No overnight visitors without prior approval and day visitors must park in designated areas, please ask for the proper parking spots. Please place all dirty linens and laundry in the bath tubs upon departure. Also upon departure, please place all garbage in the garbage cans provided outside the cabins.
Children 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult while on the boat dock, swimming or using the hot tub. You swim at your own risk. Do not enter any watercraft unless it is yours or you have rented it. Follow State Regulations as posted concerning hot tub use. Bon Fire pit now has new restrictions and requires daily burn permit approval from U.S. Forestry Service. Please ask about new restrictions and before 3 pm so that a permit may be acquired. You will have to provide wood for the fire pit. Never use charcoal grills under covered porches.
The paying party’s credit card will be charged for damages, extra cleaning etc. as described above if necessary. If you prefer to pay for your stay by check or cash, a $100 security deposit per unit will be required and returned upon satisfactory check out. We will gladly do a walk through before you leave at check out. Our intent is for you and our future guest to have the most pleasant stay possible and that you will return often. Please ask if we need to clarify anything

PS. This form is far less formal and more personal than the mice type form you sign, probably unknowingly, at most chain resorts and lodges etc!
By paying the balance due upon check in, you have agreed to these terms and have informed everyone in your party of its contents.
